By providing acentral location to gather, wecan explore riding techniques,safety standards, and the common bond of motorcyclists. To travel the road by motorcycle with a friend is on of the best things in life. In an area with a magnitude of motorcyclist varying from blue-collar workers to lawyers, business owners to teachers from male to female with women becoming an even larger segment of motorcycling, there is an increasing concern for safety, riding techniques and motorcycle law changes in North Carolina. By gathering to discuss new products, promote safe riding, providing information and exchanging ideas,we can reassure the motorcyclist community and the residents of this area that we can all enjoy our chosen means of transportation and recreational vehicles withoutthe fear of increases in injuries,accidents or deaths. The generalization that all sportbike riders are reckless and a danger to everyone is a perception that was derived from the carelessness and showboating of a very small percentage of riders. But it is that perception that has increased insurancerates, police harassment, social unrest and decreased participation from restaurant and bar owners to allow motorcyclist to patronize their establishments. With your help we could not only significantly decrease that perception while increasing awareness that motorcyclist are ordinary people who enjoy the thrill of the ride and on some occasion;we like to go fast like everyone else.
